I remember seeing some things on Arrested Development and wondering how they managed to get approval to show them on Fox. I always assumed that whoever was in charge just didn’t get a lot of the jokes.
Sit Down Shut Up is a new show from the creator of Arrested Development and I’m getting the same (fun) feeling. Shown here is a school fair (a fair fair, because the games are not rigged this year) with the bi-sexual Mexican drama teacher’s mouth used as a target for throwing games.29 April 2009 - 05:47 | Tags: tv, sitdownshutup, arresteddevelopment

There have been rumours for years about an Arrested Development movie. The series ended with Maeby pitching one to Ron Howard. The former cast seem to have fun suggesting it will happen. Now, according to rumours that seem more substantial than other rumours, Fox Searchlight is going to make it. I can imagine Tobias thinking: “Oh, I can just taste those meaty leading man parts in my mouth.”
If the movie happens I really hope it will do something different, even if it means box office failure. Lots of the magic of Arrested Development was the way jokes built over multiple episodes, and even sometimes started building after the punchline had been delivered (to reward multiple viewings). I can’t see how that is possible in a movie, but it would be really interesting to see someone try. Throw out all the established conventions. After all, even if it means them taking a chubby, they should suck it up.22 November 2008 - 22:20 | Tags: arresteddevelopment
Sister’s my new mother, Mother. And is it just me or is she looking hotter?
— Buster Bluth, Arrested Development s03e09. Sometimes I wonder if I should devote myself to compiling the World’s greatest resource to Arrested Development - my magnum opus to a magnum opus.
The difference between Lucille Bluth and Tabitha is that Lucille likes vodka and Tabitha likes scotch.
— Jessica Walter on the difference between her characters on Arrested Development and 90210.
Tristan Wilds played Michael Lee on The Wire, which I consider to be the greatest TV drama ever. Jessica Walter played Lucille Bluth on Arrested Development, which I consider to be the greatest TV comedy ever.
They both star in “90210”, which is the remake/reboot of “Beverley Hills 90210”. I have so many smart-ass things to say, but I’m practicing my self-control.
Note: I wanted to center the “before” and “after” text on the images, but that would have hidden Michael’s new pants.4 September 2008 - 22:37 | Tags: tv, thewire, arresteddevelopment, 90210, 902102
I just found out that Canada has a supermarket chain called Loblaws. This reminds me of Bob Loblaws Law Blog which does, in fact, exist in the real world (poor guy). However, the real Bob Loblaw does not have the catchphrase “Why should you go to jail for a crime someone else noticed?”.20 August 2008 - 19:48 | Tags: arresteddevelopment, tv
