Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is a horrible experience of unbearable length, briefly punctuated by three or four amusing moments. One of these involves a dog-like robot humping the leg of the heroine. Such are the meager joys. If you want to save yourself the ticket price, go into the kitchen, cue up a male choir singing the music of hell, and get a kid to start banging pots and pans together. Then close your eyes and use your imagination.
— Roger Ebert’s review of the second Transformers film (or third, if you count the cartoon version)

(Because of air resistance, I wouldn’t try it in NH/MT/ID/WV/AK/VT, either.) He just needs to leave a note at the bottom explaining that in 30 years they should set out a trampoline.
Some comedies that deserve better IMDB ratings
- Zoolander - IMDB 6.3/10
- Hot Rod - IMDB 6.4/10
- Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby - IMDB 6.5/10
- Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy - IMDB 6.9/10
It’s not all bad though. Hot Fuzz is currently 8/10.

I read a quote suggesting that it was apt that these actors play the characters, since they both appear to get more attractive as they get older.

Shoot lots of singles, track slowly in on everybody who’s speaking, spin a circle around characters now and then, and transition to a new scene with a quick airborne shot of a cityscape.
— David Bordwell on The Dark Knight. I really liked the movie, but I did notice a lot of spinning and cityscapes.
My best friend’s sister’s boyfriend’s brother’s girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who’s going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it’s pretty serious.
