You gotta spend some time, love.
You gotta spend some time with me.
I know that you’ll find love.
I will possess your heart.
— Death Cab For Cutie - “I Will Possess Your Heart” from “Narrow Stairs”. I didn’t think much of the album when I first heard it, but now I love it.
Breaking news: It’s only the Australian iTunes store that considers Beyoncé to be possessed. The top image is from the US store, the bottom is from the Australian store. I should be an investigative reporter! I bring the big stories to the people.
Coming up next: why do they both think she is able to contort her body into impossible silhouettes?

How the world’s filled with filth and lies

Chairlift - Bruises on iPod nano ad
Chairlift’s song Bruises (link to Australian iTunes store) is featured on the new iPod nano TV ad. The lyrics include:

The song currently (10th Sept 00:23 UTC) has 2343 plays and 592 listeners on last.fm.
I’ll track the increase here.
UPDATE (10th Sept 19:00 UTC): 2418 plays - 604 listeners. I’m not sure when they aggregate their stats.

begging just to eat.
But you know who does that? Lassie.
And she always gets a treat.
So you wonder what your part is,
because you’re homeless and depressed.
But home is where the heart is.
So your real home’s in your chest.

Everyone can blaze a hero’s trail.
Don’t worry if it’s hard,
if you’re not a friggin ‘tard you will prevail.
